We use vegetable cellulose to make our capsules. There’s no gelatin produced from animal bones or marrow in our capsules—they are made entirely from vegetable-based materials.

Occasionally we use miniscule amounts of magnesium stearate as a flow agent during the manufacturing process. It ensures that the supplement ingredients fill the capsule consistently and properly. We try not to use it whenever possible, but if we have to, we use such a tiny amount that it presents no harm to your health.

Rice flour helps flow the supplement ingredients into the capsule. Miniscule amounts are used during the manufacturing process. You’ll find it listed under “Other Ingredients” on our label because we believe that you deserve to know everything that goes into our supplements and your body.

We are transparent about the “other” ingredients that are necessary to create a working supplement that other labels often don’t bother to mention, such as thickening agents, capsule materials and natural flavoring. The manufacturing facility has stringent practices to keep allergen free materials separate in the facility, and either uses separate machinery or has extensive cleaning procedures to ensure there is no cross contamination.

Yes! At Yozorn we care about our animal friends. We’re proud to say that our capsules are vegan and don’t include any animal by-products.

We do not do testing on animals or humans. Our products are formulated based on studies of specific ingredients and ingredients combinations.

NSF is the organization that will certify our facility as cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice). Yozorn would never be certified, only our co-packer, and we have chosen NSF as the certifying agency for cGMP. There are many ways to get certified cGMP, NSF being the hardest and gold standard. Interestingly, NSF does not authorize the use of its logo on a supplement bottle, and it’s a misleading gesture at best by the company doing it to establish credibility in the consumer’s eye.

Yes! We test all of our batches to ensure we can be certified gluten-free (or <20 ppm per serving).

Our ingredients are sourced worldwide! Now there are regions in the world where plants like to grow better than others, and it makes sense for us to use those sources. Sometimes the countries change, but we try to get our ingredients from where they are naturally grown. Additionally, some ingredients cannot be sourced locally, particularly for Organic ingredients, or if they can, they will have very limited or seasonal availability and very high pricing.

What sets Yozorn apart is that we test the ingredients that come in the door to make sure they are exactly what label says they are - it could be sold to us as Milk Thistle, the container could say Milk Thistle, it could look like Milk Thistle... but if the test comes back saying it's Onopordum Acanthium we send it back and find another source.

At the raw material stage, we use a variety of methods to test the ingredients that come in the door to make sure they are exactly what the label says they are.

At the final product stage we use a Third Party testing laboratory to test for the four heavy metals (Lead, Cadmium, Arsenic and Mercury). We also test for gluten and pesticides (for botanical products). The results are reviewed to ensure they meet the FDA specifications before any products are released. Additionally, our manufacturers conduct routine testing on every batch including purity and potency.
